Manager, Data Protection Services (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Define and execute a multi-year roadmap for data protection and cryptographic services.
• Lead the architecture and deployment of the DLP ecosystem, including CASB, DSPM, and AI-SPM.
• Oversee cryptographic standards, key management, and secrets management practices.
• Advise executive leadership on risk posture and investment priorities.
• Manage, mentor, and build a high-trust team of security engineers.
• Drive adoption of modern cryptographic controls and quantum-readiness planning.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in information security, with 5+ years in a people management role.
• Must be based in the United States or Costa Rica.
• Strong working knowledge of cryptographic principles (HSMs, PKI, TLS/mTLS).
• Experience with cloud-native data security architectures (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Familiarity with AI/ML security concepts and AI governance frameworks.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional partners without direct authority.

Nice to have

• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CRISC, CISM, or CISA.
• Hands-on experience deploying AI-SPM tooling or building LLM security controls.
• Experience responding to regulatory audits and certifications (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
