TL;DR

HR Consultant (HR Compliance): Identify, evaluate, and resolve HR issues for customers while supporting HR-related projects with an accent on multi-jurisdiction employment law compliance, escalation of complex cases, and drafting position descriptions and employee handbooks. Focus on ensuring customer policy compliance, handling FLSA and independent contractor analyses, and delivering responsive client support via phone, email, and Microsoft Teams.

What you will do

  • Manage a queue of HR inquiries, requests, and projects for defined team/clients.
  • Provide on-demand client support on HR topics via phone and email.
  • Escalate complex situations to HR Business Partners or Senior HR Consultants when needed.
  • Identify legal and governmental reporting requirements and ensure customer HR practices comply.
  • Support HR compliance audits and analyses (including FLSA and independent contractor analyses).
  • Draft customer position descriptions and employee handbooks and participate in related client meetings.

Requirements

  • Proficient in multi-jurisdictional HR compliance.
  • 2+ years related HR Generalist experience for HR Consultant I, or 3–5 years for HR Consultant II (or equivalent education/experience); typically requires 6+ years related experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and ability to handle multiple priorities and disruptions without impacting quality or timeliness.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word) and Adobe Flyer.
  • PHR and/or SHRM-CP strongly desired.
