What you will do
- Lead veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and assistants while setting standards for high-quality veterinary care.
- Perform physical examinations and diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures, including sophisticated surgeries and complex cases.
- Explain findings, diagnose patient problems, and develop and present treatment plans.
- Mentor and develop associate veterinarians and paraprofessional team members, providing performance feedback and removing operational barriers.
- Maintain accurate medical and surgical records, logs, follow-up activities, and patient management protocols.
- Oversee safety, operating, compliance, and medical procedures; occasional travel may be required.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, DVM, VMD, or equivalent.
- Active state veterinary license in good standing, DEA license, and other required state credentials.
- At least 5 years of experience in general medicine and surgery.
- 1–3 years of leadership experience.
- Ability to collaborate with veterinary professionals and provide empathetic, customer-focused care in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand or walk for up to 80% of a shift and lift 50–70 pounds with an optional team lift.
Nice to have
- Two years of supervised experience with veterinary radiation machines.
