Software Engineer - Cloud Platform / Reliability (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: Morrisville, North Carolina, United States. Hybrid working environment with some level of in-office and/or in-person expectations.

Salary: $113,050–$168,300 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable cloud platform software and distributed services.
• Build automation and infrastructure tooling for deployments, validation, scheduling, and operational workflows.
• Implement and operate containerized workloads with Kubernetes, including on-premises and Rancher environments.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and observability solutions with tools such as Dynatrace and Grafana.
• Optimize Linux environments, databases, cloud services, and operational processes for performance and reliability.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, data analysis, and continuous platform improvements.

Requirements

• Experience in software engineering, cloud platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or a related field.
• Strong programming or scripting skills in Python, Shell, or similar technologies, focused on automation and system tooling.
• Experience with distributed or cloud-based applications, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and public cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Solid Linux systems administration experience with RHEL/CentOS, including troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Experience with observability tools such as Dynatrace or Grafana, and working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 2+ years of related experience, a master’s degree with 0+ years, or equivalent experience.

• Experience applying automation, data-driven insights, or AI/ML tools to improve system performance or engineering workflows.
