Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Hybrid role requiring a customer onsite rotating schedule in Hanover or Columbia, Maryland, United States, during regular business hours, with some work from home.

Salary: $137,510–$180,000 per year.

What you will do

• Support development and deployment of AWS cloud infrastructure, especially EKS.
• Develop and maintain edge infrastructure on on-premise and portable equipment.
• Automate deployment processes and manage Kubernetes containers and AWS infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems while improving reliability, scalability, availability, and performance.
• Explore new technologies and tools to continuously improve infrastructure operations.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and a current Top Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance are required; SCI eligibility is highly desired.
• DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certification, such as Security+, is required.
• At least 9 years of DevOps Engineering or Software Development experience with a related bachelor's degree, or an equivalent advanced experience and education combination.
• Strong AWS knowledge, including EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, and Lambda, plus Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, application and container deployment, scaling, configuration management, Git, Flux, and CI/CD tools.
• Programming experience in Python, Bash, or Go, with strong problem-solving, communication, and Agile development skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, or Presto.
• Experience with EKS, Diode, CI/CD, and Terraform.
• Availability for occasional on-call work.
