Software Engineer (DevOps)

Location: Boston or Needham, Massachusetts, United States; employees work from the office 4 days a week and remotely 1 day a week.

Base salary: USD 80,000–150,000 per year, plus potential variable compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and support components of a mission-critical trading platform with trading and technology teams.
• Design and maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines and software delivery automation.
• Develop AWS infrastructure and automation using Infrastructure as Code.
• Improve reliability through monitoring, alerting, observability, and operational best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and support continuous improvement.
• Partner with developers, QA, and architecture teams on scalable, secure, and performant solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or related roles.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python.
• Experience with AWS, cloud-native concepts, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions, and Git.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Working knowledge of monitoring, logging, production support, incident response, and root-cause analysis.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker, ECS, microservices, Grafana, Elasticsearch, or SRE principles.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.
• Hands-on experience with SQL or relational databases.
