DevOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: Hybrid role requiring work at the customer site in San Antonio, Texas, 3–5 days per week; the position supports a customer onsite at Lackland AFB.

Salary: $100,173–$130,000 annually.

What you will do

• Develop and deploy AWS cloud infrastructure, especially EKS, as well as on-premise and portable edge infrastructure.
• Automate deployment processes and manage Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into production infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems while improving reliability, scalability, availability, and performance.
• Move between hands-on execution, technical guidance, mentorship, and team leadership.

Requirements

• Active TS-level U.S. Government security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
• Must be willing and able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
• At least 5 years of DevOps engineering or software development experience with a related bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent education and experience combination.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, AWS services including EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, and Lambda, plus Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with application, container, and operating system deployment, scaling, and management; proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration, troubleshooting, Git, Flux, terminal-based environments, and Agile development practices.

Nice to have

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Accumulo, Ceph, Spark, NiFi, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, or Presto.
• Experience with containers, EKS, Diode, CI/CD, and Terraform.
• DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II compliance certifications.
