What you will do
- Lead architecture and delivery of foundational systems across ’s AI and data platform.
- Build production agent systems, evaluation pipelines, and anomaly detection.
- Own data models, orchestration patterns, and internal frameworks that help the team ship faster.
- Design and evolve relational systems at scale with a focus on PostgreSQL performance and reliability.
- Shape practical approaches to agent behavior, evaluation, quality, observability, cost control, and recovery.
- Act as a technical reference point by writing clear PRs/notes and making sound architectural decisions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, operating at staff level.
- Deep, at-scale production experience with relational data (indexing, partitioning, schema design, query performance, migrations).
- Proven experience building or leading foundational technical work that other teams/products depend on (platform/data/pipelines/evaluation/cost infrastructure/architecture refactors).
- Production AI/LLM experience focused on real engineering problems (quality, evaluation, cost, observability, edge cases), not demos or prompt experiments.
- Essential: at-scale experience with customer-facing LLMs, specifically testing and iterating based on real end-user interactions.
- Ability to work fully remote with meaningful overlap with the UK working day (European-timezone team).
