Lead Software Engineer (APIs)

hirify.global operates Ticketmaster, a global ticket marketplace and provider of enterprise tools and services for live entertainment.

What you will do

• Design and develop new API, web, data, and supporting systems for the TM1 Marketing & APIs division.
• Build and operate high-traffic, large-scale applications, including frontend interfaces, API services, data models, infrastructure, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering teams to define requirements, solution designs, technical standards, and roadmaps.
• Develop monitoring, alerting, performance measurement, automated build, and deployment systems.
• Ensure test coverage, high availability, scalability, low latency, fault tolerance, and long-term maintainability.
• Lead technical delivery, review code, mentor engineers, document systems, and represent the team in cross-functional decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in one or more of Java, TypeScript, or Node.js, with willingness to learn the others.
• Experience building and deploying high-traffic web applications and supporting live production systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL and DynamoDB.
• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, GitLab, CI/CD, Jenkins, and Sonar.
• Experience working in Agile teams, handling production issues and on-call support, communicating clearly, and leading day-to-day team delivery.

Nice to have

• UI design experience and experience building client-facing data applications.
• Experience in entertainment or online ticketing.
• Experience working across European, Asian, and South American cultural and regulatory environments.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude in the software development lifecycle.
