What you will do

• Architect and develop packet forwarding features for PTX Series Routers, including IPv4/IPv6, MPLS, SRv6, multicast, GRE, LAG, and tunneling.
• Partner with Product Line Managers to translate packet forwarding feature requirements into implementation plans.
• Work with test teams to qualify and deliver high-quality products.
• Engage with customers and participate in industry forums.
• Contribute to sustaining and improving existing packet forwarding features.

Requirements

• Location/remote: Must be based in the USA (Sunnyvale, CA) or work remotely in the USA.
• BS in CS/EE with 12 years of work experience (MS is a plus).
• 8+ years of experience with C programming.
• 3+ years of experience with C++ programming.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Python.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of packet forwarding software development experience.
• Experience with L3 forwarding, MPLS, multicast, SRv6, SR/SR-TE, or tunneling features.
• 3+ years developing object-oriented software in C++ and Python, including Copilot development.
