Software Engineer (Linux, Virtualization, Hypervisor)

Location: Hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

Salary: USD $160,000–$320,000 per year, plus potential sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, discretionary awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Contribute to the development of hirify.global's Acropolis Hypervisor.
• Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot AHV security features.
• Improve the reliability, performance, scalability, and security of AHV.
• Develop virtual machine lifecycle management and distributed services.
• Interact with open source communities.
• Lead features from concept through market delivery.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in C and Python, with experience in C/C++ development.
• Extensive knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system internals and kernel-level software development for Unix, Linux, or BSD.
• Experience with Linux kernel-mode debugging and device driver development.
• Knowledge of x86 architecture, virtualization, storage, and network management.
• Strong understanding of multithreading, algorithms, and data structures on Linux.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
