What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy custom automation scripts and add-ons for EDA tools like Cadence Allegro X.
• Build backend pipelines connecting EDA tools with critical electrical design applications.
• Collaborate with Hardware and PCB Layout Engineers to identify and eliminate workflow inefficiencies.
• Automate data extraction from EDA tools and create custom verification processes.
• Write clean, documented code and participate in code reviews using Git.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong foundational knowledge of object-oriented programming and Python.
• Experience integrating software via REST APIs, GraphQL, or working with enterprise databases.
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering concepts, PCB, and Package design workflows.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex engineering workflows into software requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with TCL, SKILL programming language, or Cadence APIs.
• Familiarity with Cadence Allegro Suite (Design Entry HDL, System Capture, Allegro PCB Designer).
• Experience with data visualization technologies like three.js or Canvas.
• Previous internship or project experience with EDA toolchains or PLM systems like Enovia or Teamcenter.
