Project Engineer - Municipal

Location: Hybrid work in Kirkland, Washington, or Lake Oswego, Oregon, US

Salary: $110,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Perform engineering calculations and civil design work, converting concepts into construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and inspection reports in accordance with sound engineering practices.
• Investigate and resolve design issues through field inspections, detailed design, and checking of engineering computations.
• Assign and direct work for engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
• Coordinate with staff engineers and project managers to support project execution, financial performance, pricing, and proposal costing.
• Communicate professionally with clients, public officials, contractors, and other project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Professional Engineer registration in Washington is required.
• At least 6 years of progressive civil engineering design experience on public-sector projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing design teams on small engineering projects.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D.
• Strong written, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks as a motivated, collaborative team member.
