What you will do

• Architect and ship next-gen gateway and CDN features, including plugin-driven routing and smart cache policies.
• Build libraries and pipelines for rate-limiting, WAF/filter rules, and bot-detection embedded directly into the edge stack.
• Create self-service CLI tools and lightweight frameworks for API registration and policy enforcement.
• Analyze metrics to pinpoint latency or fail-over gaps and deliver code-level optimizations for high-throughput services.
• Partner with product, platform, and security experts to translate requirements into maintainable code.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of back-end development experience building large-scale, high-throughput services.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, Python, or similar languages.
• Strong software design and system-thinking skills.
• Ability to explain complex ideas clearly and collaborate across multiple technical teams.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience designing and operating distributed, low-latency systems like API gateways or caches.
• Experience with security-focused development.
• Proven ability to use data to identify and resolve performance or reliability bottlenecks.
