Staff Backend Engineer (Security) (Distributed Systems/Security Architecture): Building scalable, resilient backend platforms and security capabilities for high-growth ecommerce with an accent on distributed systems, fraud prevention, and high availability. Focus on designing traffic risk control and anti-fraud modules, leading architecture reviews, and solving security and stability challenges under high concurrency.
Location: Singapore; open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents only

What you will do
- Design scalable, highly available backend systems with a strong focus on security architecture.
- Lead the design and optimization of traffic risk control, anti-fraud, and account security modules.
- Partner with product managers and business stakeholders to define technical solutions and deliver mission-critical projects.
- Lead architecture reviews and drive engineering excellence for stable, secure systems under high concurrency.
- Collaborate with technology teams to build platform-level security and risk detection capabilities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software design and development experience building large-scale enterprise systems.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and open-source technologies.
- Experience with traffic risk control, transaction fraud detection, or account security platforms is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project delivery skills.
- English reading and writing abilities required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
