Electronic Trading Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Monitor automated trading and risk infrastructure during Asia hours, resolve real-time issues, and escalate when necessary.
• Develop strategy features and deploy code changes through the standard review process.
• Design, run, and report on retail order-routing experiments.
• Shape priorities based on overnight market activity and support the transition to 23/5 trading.
• Partner with traders and developers across regions to improve system resilience.
• Build hands-on expertise in risk systems, order flow, and market structure.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience at a financial institution.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field preferred.
• Strong Python experience and experience working with large datasets in SQL.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure in fast-moving, time-sensitive environments.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility in time commitment for overnight and global trading coverage.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of US equity market structure, including venues, smart order routing, order types, and trade reporting.
• Experience with Java or C++.
• Statistical analysis experience.
