Senior Software Reverse Engineer

Location: Wright-Patt AFB, Ohio, NASIC FME; onsite

What you will do

• Analyze and characterize hardware and software technologies in an exploitation and analysis laboratory.
• Experiment with low-level software and hardware mechanics.
• Use reverse-engineering, emulation, debugging, and compiler tools.
• Support embedded systems development, device simulation, and testing.
• Develop advanced analysis techniques alongside senior engineers and subject-matter experts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• At least 10 years of software engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of calculus-based mathematics, physics, software engineering principles, compilers, emulation, and debugging.
• Experience with C/C++, Assembly, GCC, MSVC, Clang, QEMU, Visual Studio, GDB, OllyDbg, or WinDbg.
• Knowledge of compiler mechanics, compiler optimizations, and compiler security features, plus formal technical writing experience.
• Secret clearance required, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Nice to have

• TS/SCI clearance.
• Embedded systems development experience with C/C++ and Assembly.
• Experience with complex device development, simulation, testing, and software reverse-engineering tools.
• Motivation to learn advanced analysis techniques and work alongside experienced engineers.
