Location: Must live and work at a remote retreat location in Dillingham, Alaska for approximately five months.

hirify.global is a leading Alaskan communications provider that operates a corporate retreat for its customers, clients, and employees.

What you will do

  • Provide guided fishing, sightseeing, kayaking, hiking, and sailing services on area streams and rivers.
  • Operate and navigate passenger boats according to regulations and instruct guests on boating safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance on boats, fishing equipment, and facility grounds.
  • Process, handle, and package fresh fish for guests.
  • Serve as the Range Master for the retreat's skeet shooting range.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of supplies, luggage, and guests from aircraft, boats, and vehicles.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in boating on lakes/rivers or employment in a similar guiding position.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED training (must be obtained within one month of hire).
  • Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to live and work at a remote location for approximately five months on a seven-day work week schedule.
  • Physical stamina to move loads up to 70 lbs and perform duties in various outdoor weather conditions.

Nice to have

  • USCG Operator Uninspected Passenger Vessel (OUPV) certification.
  • Completion of a formal guide training course.
  • Experience leading, training, and mentoring a crew of fishing guides.
  • Deep knowledge of Southwest Alaska geography, fish and wildlife behavior.
