Staff Engineer II (Civil Engineering)

Salary: Starting at $70,000 per year, based on position, experience, and licensure.

What you will do

• Provide technical planning and design support for storm and sanitary sewer collection systems, water distribution, and other civil engineering projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, design reports, construction plans, specifications, permit submittals, and public bid documentation.
• Develop construction plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and apply local and state standards.
• Prepare preliminary cost estimates, evaluate quantities, and assist with project scope, budgets, and schedules.
• Document design changes and project communications, prepare status reports, and support Project Managers.
• Attend client, public, project, and staff meetings and conduct on-site inspections as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 2–4 years of experience in civil-site and municipal engineering.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• EIT certification is preferred.
• Ability to support civil infrastructure design, calculations, permitting, and construction documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with HydroCAD or other stormwater modeling software.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS software.
