Senior Land Development Engineer

Salary: Starting at $95,000 annually, based on position, experience, and licensure.

What you will do

• Support the Civil Group Leader with design and project management.
• Plan and design land development, site development, water, and natural resources projects.
• Develop site layouts, detailed grading, entrance layouts, and access plans for compliant, build-ready sites.
• Design stormwater management systems and erosion and sediment control measures, including green infrastructure.
• Prepare records, construction plans, and permitting applications for agency and municipal review.
• Meet with municipal officials, engineers, developers, and contractors while leading multidisciplinary design teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• At least 7 years of land development experience, preferably in Delaware.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure required; Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and/or New Jersey licensure preferred.
• Knowledge of green infrastructure practices, including bioretention systems, permeable pavement, infiltration systems, and green roofs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead engineers and designers.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; familiarity with stormwater modeling software such as HydroCAD or Hydraflow. Civil 3D and ArcGIS experience are a plus.
