Network Engineer III (Transport)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and support complex high-availability network infrastructure following telco standards.
• Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities for network and systems facilities.
• Optimize network performance using monitoring tools and collaborating with architects.
• Develop operational KPIs, documentation, training materials, and network diagrams.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians and manage escalation events to resolution.
• Coordinate with project management to ensure timely and on-budget project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technologies, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive engineering experience in IT and telecommunications.
• Deep understanding of high availability, redundancy, reliability, and network security.
• Proficiency in transport protocols: TDM/FDM, TCP/UDP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, SONET, DWDM.
• Experience with hardware vendors such as Nokia, Cisco, Ciena, and Fujitsu.
• Available to work additional time on weekends, holidays, or after hours for business emergencies.

Nice to have

• Specific experience within the telecommunications industry.
• Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, JNCIE, or Nokia NRS I/II.
