Senior DevOps Engineer (DevSecOps)

Location: Remote within the United States; U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. government security clearance are required. Colorado Springs, Colorado, is preferred but not required. Travel up to 5% may be required.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain secure automated workflows for building, testing, scanning, packaging, releasing, and deploying software.
• Create and improve CI/CD pipelines and containerized application deployments across AWS, ECS, EKS, and Kubernetes environments.
• Build observability with metrics, dashboards, logs, traces, health checks, and alerts using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
• Improve deployment reliability through automated testing, runtime validation, release controls, rollback strategies, and service objectives.
• Establish cost and utilization visibility for DSOP and AI workloads, optimizing resource sizing, autoscaling, scheduling, storage, data transfer, and retention.
• Collaborate with application, platform, security, data, AI/ML, product, and customer teams on infrastructure-as-code, GitOps, compliance, and operational support.

Requirements

• Six or more years of experience in software engineering, DevSecOps, platform engineering, cloud engineering, or site reliability engineering.
• Production software experience in a Department of Defense, government, healthcare, or other regulated environment.
• Active Secret security clearance or higher, U.S. citizenship, and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card are required.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or another major public cloud, Docker or comparable container technology, and Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.
• Experience with CI/CD workflows, automated testing, code reviews, monitoring, release practices, and Helm or a comparable deployment tool.
• Proficiency in at least one of TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Bash, or Go, with the ability to troubleshoot applications, APIs, databases, networks, and cloud services.

Nice to have

• Experience operating production Kubernetes environments, infrastructure-as-code, GitOps, FinOps, or AI/ML infrastructure.
• Experience implementing controls for NIST 800-171, CMMC, FedRAMP, RMF, or the DoD Cloud Computing SRG.
• Familiarity with service meshes, Linux administration, cloud networking, security scanning, and policy-as-code.
• AWS Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, FinOps, Security+, or comparable certification.
• Located near Colorado Springs, Colorado, or able to obtain a DoD IAT Level II certification after starting.
