Systems Engineer (Space)

What you will do

• Provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance support for an Army acquisition program within the Capability Program Executive for Intelligence and Spectrum Warfare.
• Perform systems engineering activities across concept development, requirements analysis, architecture, design, integration, verification, testing, training, transition to operations, and sustainment.
• Support technical baseline management, requirements traceability, interface definition, and configuration-control activities.
• Participate in System Requirements, Preliminary Design, Critical Design, Test Readiness, and Operational Readiness Reviews.
• Support integration, test, verification, validation, and performance assessment of complex aerospace, radar, or space systems.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams to drive development, fielding, and mission capability delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• US citizenship and a current DoD Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility are required.
• Knowledge of DoD and/or Army systems engineering processes.
• Experience with technical baseline management, requirements traceability, interface definition, and engineering change documentation.
• Experience with Agile development principles and systems engineering technical reviews.
• Experience verifying, validating, and assessing the performance of highly technical systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with digital engineering and MBSE tools such as Cameo, DOORS, or SysML.
• Experience with test planning and operational assessment of complex radar or space systems.
• Experience supporting Department of Defense, Space Force, NRO, MDA, or Intelligence Community space and ISR programs.
