TL;DR

Lead Project Manager (Government): Overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects and programs for a government client with an accent on end-to-end project governance and stakeholder satisfaction. Location: Must be based in Phoenix, AZ (onsite 4-5 days a week). US Citizenship is required.

Salary: $79,920 – $152,160

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end project management across multiple initiatives to ensure successful delivery.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables aligned with business priorities.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, product, operations, and external partners.
• Establish project governance, reporting frameworks, and performance KPIs.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate communication across all organizational levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in project or program management.
• Proven experience leading large-scale, complex projects or programs.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or Smartsheet.
• Must be a US citizen.

Nice to have

• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification.
• Experience in government, transportation, or regulated industries (e.g., DMV, ADOT).
• Background in digital transformation, cloud migrations, or system modernization initiatives.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party partners.
