Systems Engineers - Combat System Integration (Defence) (systems integration): Developing and integrating complex naval combat systems across electronic warfare, weapons, navigation, communications, and sensors with an accent on requirements management, system architecture, and verification and validation. Focus on conducting design reviews, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, and delivering capability within complex defence engineering programmes.
Location: Adelaide or Melbourne, Australia. Shipyard-facing roles are based in Adelaide; other roles may be based in Adelaide or Melbourne. Hybrid work-from-home/office arrangements and a 9-day fortnight may be considered.

What you will do
- Contribute to the development and integration of naval combat systems.
- Work across electronic warfare, above-water weapons, navigation, communications, or above-water sensors.
- Manage requirements, system architecture, systems integration, and verification and validation activities.
- Conduct or participate in mandatory design reviews, including SRR, PDR, and CDR.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders, including the customer, in complex defence programmes.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in a related engineering discipline, such as computer science or electrical/electronic engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Five or more years of systems engineering experience.
- Experience with requirements management, system architecture, systems integration, and/or verification and validation.
- Experience with complex defence engineering programmes; ASDEFCON, shipbuilding, and combat systems experience is preferred.
- Experience participating in design reviews and working groups, plus stakeholder management skills.
- Must be an Australian citizen and hold or be able to obtain an AGSVA security clearance.
