Junior Mechanical Engineer

What you will do

• Apply standard mechanical engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria under supervision.
• Assist with larger engineering assignments, including plans, investigations, surveys, and design activities.
• Develop design solutions and requirements within engineering change management and configuration management.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to formulate engineering solutions.
• Use configuration, data analysis, modelling, and design tools to support engineering activities.
• Work within the Navy Seaworthiness Framework, Authorised Engineering Organisation, and Engineering Management Plan.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active Baseline Defence security clearance or higher.
• Eligibility for ITAR clearance for relevant ship systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in a Defence or maritime environment.
