Labor Relations Representative (Automotive)

Location: Ft. Wayne, Indiana, United States; onsite manufacturing environment

What you will do

• Manage labor relations and HR activities for salary and hourly employees in a manufacturing environment.
• Administer global and local agreements, policies, work rules, and union-related processes.
• Build relationships with operations teams, union leadership, staff, and hourly employees.
• Investigate grievances and workplace issues, support corrective and progressive discipline, and help resolve conflicts.
• Support negotiations, workforce planning, hiring events, onboarding, orientation, transfers, exits, and job bidding.
• Maintain personnel records and generate HR reports and metrics using an HRIS.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of labor relations experience in a manufacturing environment.
• A four-year BA or BS degree in an applicable field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, organizational, and team-building skills.
• Ability to resolve conflicting interests, build credibility, manage a high workload, and multitask.
• Proficiency with Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
• Integrity and the ability to serve as a role model within the organization.

Nice to have

• SAP or other HR systems experience.
• ADP payroll processing experience.
• Strong background in labor relations.
