What you will do

• Lead, hire, and develop a team of security engineers through coaching, performance management, and career development.
• Develop and execute the security engineering roadmap, balancing risk reduction with business objectives.
• Drive the adoption of DevSecOps practices, security automation, and secure-by-default engineering patterns.
• Lead risk assessments, threat modeling, and incident response for production systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align security vision and promote secure engineering practices.
• Responsibly leverage AI tools to improve productivity, strengthen security operations, and scale team effectiveness.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA.
• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, application security, or infrastructure security.
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (Python, Go, Java, Rust, or Bash).
• Deep understanding of SDLC, DevSecOps, and securing cloud-native environments (Kubernetes, AWS, GCP).
• Experience with IAM technologies (Okta, SAML, OAuth, OIDC) and security frameworks (NIST CSF, SOC 2, HITRUST).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• AWS and/or GCP certifications.
• CISSP and/or CISM certification.
