Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Location: Remote within the United States, with selected candidates required to live within 60 minutes of Louisville, NYC Metro, Dallas Metro, Charlotte NC Metro, South Florida, Washington DC Metro, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, or Nashville. Occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $117,600–$161,700 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Engineer, deploy, and support data protection products, including Privacera.
• Design and validate security tools, applications, platform designs, and system solutions.
• Deploy security solutions in Azure and GCP cloud environments.
• Create CI/CD pipelines in Azure and perform engineering tests and technical proofs of concept.
• Conduct risk assessments and manage the security solutions lifecycle from evaluation through production operations.
• Research emerging security technologies and collaborate with stakeholders on new solution deployments.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity-focused roles, security, and major incident response.
• 3+ years of experience with Azure DevOps and Azure monitoring.
• Hands-on automation experience with PowerShell, Python, or a similar language, plus shell scripting skills.
• Experience creating CI/CD pipelines, working with the SDLC, and operating in Agile environments.
• Ability to communicate clearly with project sponsors and stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work from a dedicated home-office space and maintain a wired DSL or cable internet connection with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload; satellite and wireless internet are not allowed.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud security operations in Azure or GCP.
• Microsoft, Cisco, CISSP, CEH, Azure, AWS, or GCP certifications.
• Experience with enterprise security controls, access controls, and data loss prevention.
• Python application development, Kubernetes, container orchestration, and microservices.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or CISSP/CISM certification.
