What you will do

• Design, develop, and build custom digital circuits for CPUs, including memory and cache blocks.
• Create floorplans, enter schematics, run simulations, and verify CPU block functionality.
• Optimize circuits for power, performance, area, timing, leakage, robustness, and yield.
• Create block-level DFT models, develop memory test tools, and automate design flows and methodologies.
• Characterize memory instances and memory compilers.
• Collaborate with CPU architecture and layout teams to resolve performance and design issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• At least 1 year of experience, including course or internship experience, with CMOS circuit design.
• Experience with digital logic and optimization.
• Understanding of circuit design trade-offs involving power, performance, and area.
• Memory design experience.
