IC Design Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Irvine, California, United States; onsite

Annual base salary: USD 121,900–195,000, plus discretionary annual bonus and equity opportunities.

hirify.global’s Central Engineering Team develops standard cells and custom design solutions for AI compute cores and CPUs.

What you will do

• Design layouts for high-performance digital blocks.
• Drive timing closure while optimizing power, performance, and area.
• Debug LVS, DRC, and ERC errors using verification tools.
• Analyze cell architecture trade-offs and their performance implications.
• Collaborate with design and layout engineers to improve area and performance.
• Work with CAD, packaging, and foundry teams to resolve layout and verification issues.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of physical implementation and advanced semiconductor technologies.
• Experience implementing low-power, high-performance cores.
• 5–10 years of hands-on experience with place-and-route tools.
• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience.
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in Engineering.
