TL;DR

hirify.global is a growth-stage company expanding its operations into Europe, specializing in water management, agriculture, and UAV technology.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute the go-to-market and account strategy for Italy and Spain, managing the full deal cycle from qualification to signature.
  • Establish strategic relationships with national ministries, river basin authorities, irrigation consortia, and agricultural organizations.
  • Analyze the EU and national funding landscape, specifically drought response and climate adaptation instruments.
  • Lead regulatory and legal workstreams for UAV airspace access with national authorities under EASA frameworks.
  • Represent the company in ministerial meetings, industry forums, and national media.
  • Hire and lead the local market team as traction increases and build scalable expansion playbooks.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in business development, government affairs, or commercial sales.
  • Professional fluency in Italian or Spanish and English (fluency in both is strongly preferred).
  • Proven track record of building new markets from zero, including first deals and regulatory clearances.
  • Existing industry relationships in water, agriculture, insurance, energy, or infrastructure.
  • Must be based in or able to work hybridly from Barcelona, Madrid, Milan, or Rome.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across Southern Europe, Brussels, and the US.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of EU funding mechanisms such as Horizon Europe, LIFE, and EIC.
  • Expertise in EASA drone regulations and Mediterranean water politics.
  • Experience crafting and closing novel, complex contracts.
  • Scientific literacy to engage with hydrologists and meteorologists.
