Technical Program Manager, Hardware (PEL)

Location: Santa Clara, CA, USA

Base salary: $145,000–$200,000 annually. Total estimated annual compensation, including base salary, bonus, and equity, is $250,000–$500,000.

What you will do

• Create statements of work and product requirement documents for complex hardware programs.
• Lead cross-functional engineering teams through the NPI lifecycle from concept and design reviews to release and mass production.
• Develop program plans and master schedules covering engineering, manufacturing, customer, and partner deliverables.
• Coordinate with customers, strategic partners, product management, ODM/JDM partners, and engineering disciplines.
• Track design validation, qualification, costs, milestones, and phase-gate readiness.
• Identify, assign, escalate, and drive cross-functional issues through resolution.

Requirements

• 10+ years of NPI hardware engineering and leadership experience.
• Experience with design engineering, new product introduction, and manufacturing for rack-mounted data center or enterprise equipment.
• Experience coordinating electrical, mechanical, software, diagnostics, test, and manufacturing engineering teams.
• Exceptional project management, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven record of managing hardware projects and delivering milestones on time.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• MS, MBA, or PMP certification.
• Experience defining and implementing new processes and simplifying complex technical topics for executives and non-technical audiences.
