Staff System Technical Program Manager (AI Hardware)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; on-site

Salary: $180,000–$230,000 annually, plus potential bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end program schedules for engineering improvements, including material and validation plans.
• Coordinate hardware changes, software integration, product planning, and high-performance AI system deployments.
• Define program strategy and requirements with product management, quality, reliability, supply chain, and executive stakeholders.
• Identify technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure delivery within schedule, budget, performance, and efficiency targets.
• Coordinate component sourcing, vendor management, logistics, procurement, and manufacturing operations.
• Present program status, metrics, and operational risks to senior leadership while improving processes as the business scales.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics, a related scientific discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of technical program management experience focused on hardware, embedded software, and product planning.
• Strong understanding of hardware design processes, product lifecycle management, manufacturing workflows, and hardware-software interaction.
• Experience managing priorities across hardware, software, product, operations, and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet.
• Strong business acumen, cost management and analysis experience, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
