Salary: $157,000–$210,000 (base)

What you will do
- Manage and coordinate multiple data center design projects concurrently, from concept through detailed design (greenfield, tenant fit-outs, build-to-suit, renovations, upgrades, and end-of-life replacements).
- Act as the single point of contact for design-related matters on assigned projects, coordinating with data center providers, contractors, and A/E firms.
- Coordinate internal SMEs across electrical, mechanical, LV/IT, and BMS to align requirements, specifications, and solutions.
- Apply design and engineering guidelines, manage standards/compliance, and track basis-of-design deviations.
- Coordinate budget and schedule inputs with Construction Management; review OFCI equipment submittals and support procurement/proposal evaluation.
- Support design reviews and page-turn meetings, conduct site visits during construction, and provide executive/project reporting and stakeholder updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (MEP discipline preferred); Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in data center engineering or design with a proven track record delivering data center design projects.
- Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure systems: cooling (air/water/liquid cooling), power distribution, UPS, generators, and familiarity with BMS/automation and LV/IT design.
- Experience with large-scale, high-density data centers and cloud infrastructure requirements.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with strong project management and organizational skills (on time and within budget).
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders; ability to travel to data center sites (25% travel required).
