What you will do

• Define and own the overall power system architecture for data centers from utility interconnection to IT load.
• Design high-reliability substations and distribution systems aligned with Tier III/IV standards.
• Lead technical integration of DERs including BESS, gas turbines, and photovoltaic systems.
• Conduct FMEA, short-circuit, and protection coordination studies to ensure system reliability.
• Define control strategies for grid interaction, islanding, and black-start scenarios.
• Coordinate with EPCs, OEMs, and utility authorities to ensure design intent is maintained through execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Power Systems engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in power system design for mission-critical or industrial environments.
• Strong expertise in MV/LV distribution, protection systems, and microgrid architectures.
• Proficiency with power system analysis tools for load flow and short-circuit studies.
• Must be based in the U.S. and willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Electrical or Power Systems engineering.
• 3+ years of BESS or PV project experience.
• Experience with grid-forming power systems and sustainability-driven energy strategies.
• Familiarity with local permitting processes.
