What you will do

• Perform professional fire protection engineering services including life safety code consulting, fire alarm, and smoke control design.
• Develop comprehensive plans, specifications, and inspection reports in accordance with professional standards.
• Conduct building code analyses, egress evaluations, and hydraulic calculations for sprinkler and water supply systems.
• Resolve design problems through field investigations, research, and detailed review of computations.
• Manage projects including scope, schedule, budget, and resource coordination.
• Participate in business development through client outreach and professional presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or higher in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience in fire protection engineering.
• Must be local to Austin, TX, Allen, TX, Houston, TX, or Denver, CO, or willing to relocate.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas is preferred.
• Ability to travel to job sites in Texas, Colorado, and surrounding states.
• Effective written and oral communication skills for reporting and stakeholder management.
