Senior Electrical Designer (Revit/AutoCAD)

Location: Hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC, United States; other listed locations include Raleigh, NC and Greenville, SC. U.S. citizenship and a valid driver's license are required. Travel for projects may be required.

What you will do

• Develop electrical construction drawings and specifications for power distribution, interior and exterior lighting, fire alarm systems, grounding, single-line and riser diagrams, details, and panel schedules.
• Participate in electrical design for large and small projects across diverse project types.
• Coordinate electrical work with engineering and other project disciplines.
• Perform lighting, voltage drop, load, and related electrical calculations.
• Lead discipline design and follow established standards for electrical drawing production.
• Provide field support, including retrofit verification, as-built documentation, and construction administration.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of electrical design experience covering power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, systems, and grounding plans.
• High school diploma or associate degree with adequate drafting experience, or a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, lighting design software, and Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code, building codes, energy codes, lighting design, lighting calculations, fault currents, and voltage drop calculations.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, follow direction, and manage varied project assignments.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, hold a valid driver's license, and be able to work in the hybrid Charlotte, NC location.
