What you will do
- Execute the SLED go-to-market strategy by developing territory plans and building a robust sales pipeline.
- Own and expand customer acquisition, contract vehicles, and long-term strategic partnerships.
- Navigate complex SLED procurement processes, including cooperative contracts and state purchasing regulations.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with CISOs, IT Directors, and procurement officials.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product and marketing teams to align capabilities with compliance frameworks like NIST and CJIS.
- Represent the company at major industry events such as NASCIO and EDUCAUSE.
Requirements
- 10+ years of SaaS/Enterprise software sales experience, with at least 5+ years focused on SLED markets.
- U.S. Citizenship required and ability to pass background checks and drug testing.
- Deep knowledge of SLED procurement, budgeting cycles, and cooperative purchasing vehicles like NASPO ValuePoint.
- Strong existing network of security and IT contacts across state agencies and higher education.
- Proven track record of closing multi-million dollar contracts in the public sector.
- Ability to travel as needed for customer engagements and industry events.
