What you will do

• Lead and mentor the mechanical engineering design team in Jacksonville.
• Standardize design processes across multiple sites to reduce cycle times and improve accuracy.
• Ensure all designs comply with UL, IEEE, and ANSI standards, specifically C37.20 for switchgear.
• Optimize CAD and FEA workflows to streamline the transition from design to fabrication.
• Collaborate with sales, production, and quality control teams to resolve design issues and meet delivery schedules.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and design efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Must have 5+ years of leadership experience in cross-functional engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Extensive experience in medium voltage design, including custom switchgear and bus bars.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and FEA simulation tools.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards such as UL, IEEE, and ANSI.
• Proven ability to manage operational metrics, dashboards, and reporting.
