What you will do

  • Lead mechanical design and development of manufacturing-scale reactors to transition R&D concepts into capital projects.
  • Perform high-fidelity thermal, fluid, and structural modeling (FEA) to validate reactor performance.
  • Develop comprehensive engineering packages, including layouts, P&IDs, equipment data sheets, and specifications.
  • Implement safety-by-design principles and support PSM programs including PHA, HAZOP, and MOC.
  • Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, coordinating with vendors/fabricators and conducting factory acceptance testing (FAT).
  • Mentor and coach junior engineering staff to maintain high standards of design rigor and safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • 10+ years of mechanical design experience in industrial equipment environments with a focus on large-scale manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in mechanical design software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or AutoCAD.
  • Strong technical expertise in reactor systems, thermal/fluid equipment, and fabrication methods.
  • Analytical proficiency in FEA analysis, thermal modeling, and precision tolerancing.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical codes, industrial regulations, and Process Safety Management (PSM) environments.
