What you will do

• Execute mechanical design for manufacturing-scale reactors, bridging the gap between R&D and capital project execution.
• Perform high-fidelity FEA (thermal, fluid, and structural modeling) to validate reactor performance.
• Develop detailed engineering packages, including equipment layouts, P&IDs, and core IP drawings.
• Implement safety-by-design principles to ensure compliance and operational safety.
• Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, including vendor coordination, FAT, and field installation.
• Maintain accurate and compliant engineering documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience in industrial equipment environments focused on large-scale manufacturing.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or AutoCAD.
• Technical expertise in reactor systems, thermal/fluid equipment, and fabrication methods.
• Proficiency in FEA analysis, thermal modeling, and precision tolerancing.
• Must be based in Alameda, CA (Onsite role).
