What you will do

• Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and learning opportunities across the organization.
• Design and develop training materials, including instructor-led courses, e-learning modules, and job aids.
• Facilitate training sessions both in-person and virtually for diverse audiences.
• Manage the learning management system (LMS) and deliver onboarding programs for new employees.
• Measure training effectiveness through evaluations, assessments, and performance metrics.
• Partner with department leaders and subject matter experts to align training initiatives with business goals.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in learning and development or instructional design roles.
• Hands-on experience with instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning principles.
• Practical experience with LMS and e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate or Captivate.
• Proven track record of facilitating training sessions for diverse audiences.
• Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Location: Based in San Luis Obispo, California (Office-based).

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, HR, or Business.
• Professional certifications such as CPTD, CPLP, or ATD.
• Familiarity with learning analytics and data visualization tools.
• Experience designing virtual/hybrid learning experiences.
