Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead

What you will do

• Lead and mentor the manufacturing engineering team across shop-floor and personnel management activities.
• Assign work, manage schedules, review work in progress, and allocate shop-support resources.
• Establish lean processes, standard times, and zero-defect improvements while minimizing the seven wastes.
• Support product launches by developing manufacturing methods and processes from 3D models.
• Coordinate the creation, review, and approval of gauges, fixtures, and special tooling.
• Lead shop-floor root-cause corrective actions and provide technical support to other departments.

Requirements

• HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in mechanical, production, or manufacturing engineering.
• A degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical, production, manufacturing engineering, or leadership is preferred.
• Progressive experience in manufacturing or process engineering and lean methodologies.
• Previous machining knowledge covering mill/turn, five-axis milling, grinding, gear cutting, spark or wire erosion, honing, and lapping.
• Proven leadership and management skills, including one-to-one support, training-plan development, and workload resource management.
• Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance must be obtained and maintained.
