Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Broughton, United Kingdom; fully onsite. The role is based in the North West UK and may require security clearance.

What you will do

• Support manufacturing and production engineering activities across assembly and production environments.
• Conduct and support First Article Inspections.
• Review, update, and maintain Standard Operating Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
• Assist with manufacturing process development, improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Investigate and help resolve manufacturing issues while ensuring accurate, quality-compliant production documentation.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and Engineering teams.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience as a Manufacturing, Production, or Process Engineer.
• Previous experience in the aerospace industry and a regulated engineering environment.
• Experience supporting or conducting First Article Inspections.
• Experience creating or reviewing SOIs, SOPs, work instructions, or manufacturing process documentation.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
• Ability to work fully onsite in Broughton and meet the requirements for Baseline Personnel Security Standard and associated security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience using SAP.
• Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing and quality processes.
• Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with composite, metallic, mechanical, or assembly manufacturing operations.
