Production Engineer (Electronics)

What you will do

• Provide hands-on technical problem solving for manufacturing teams to resolve recurring quality and downtime issues.
• Lead continuous improvement (CI) and structured problem-solving activities using RCA and 8D.
• Support NPI (New Product Introduction) activities and the implementation of new manufacturing processes.
• Create and maintain critical documentation, including SOPs, BOMs, and production routings.
• Monitor and optimize PCBA test performance, yield, and associated software specifications.
• Liaise with PCBA suppliers and test equipment providers to ensure quality and compliance.

Requirements

• Background in Manufacturing or Production Engineering with a strong electronics bias.
• Proven experience in PCBA manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of electronic test systems and data analysis.
• Experience managing change and leading continuous improvement activities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK driving licence is beneficial.

Nice to have

• Experience with LabVIEW and TestStand.
• Knowledge of WATS or similar tools.
