Production Team Lead (FMCG)

Location: Tannochside, Uddingston, Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom; on-site. Permanent full-time role with rotating early and back shifts.

What you will do

• Work hands-on alongside the production team to deliver shift plans.
• Lead and supervise production activities while maintaining quality, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Support, motivate, train, and develop team members, and deputise for the Shift Manager when required.
• Coordinate staffing and resources and work with Engineering and Planning to improve equipment availability and efficiency.
• Monitor KPIs, identify process or equipment issues, and support continuous improvement.
• Use ERP and other computerised systems for stock control and daily production activities, including quality and audit requirements.

Requirements

• Experience in a busy production or manufacturing environment; FMCG experience is preferred.
• Experience leading, supervising, or supporting colleagues is advantageous.
• Hands-on approach with strong communication, listening, problem-solving, organisational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Understanding of Health & Safety standards and safe working practices.
• Confidence using computerised systems; ERP or stock management experience is advantageous.
• Ability to motivate others, adapt to changing operational priorities, and pursue continuous improvement.
