What you will do
- Design and implement scalable integrations for infrastructure components, databases, and applications.
- Develop middleware components, SDKs, and libraries to simplify observability solutions.
- Drive technical projects from ideation to production within a microservices architecture.
- Represent the company in open-source forums and contribute to projects like Prometheus and OpenTelemetry.
- Participate in follow-the-sun on-call rotations and take ownership of service reliability.
- Collaborate with product, design, and support teams to deliver a holistic product experience.
Requirements
- Must be based in the UK, Spain, Germany, or Sweden.
- 5+ years of experience in a major programming language (Go, Python, Java, Rust, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of at least one major cloud provider and its core services.
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems in production.
- Strong background in observability tooling and incident management.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fully remote, distributed environment.
Nice to have
- Experience building observability backends.
- Proven track record of contributing to or maintaining open-source projects.
- Deep understanding of metrics collection, visualization, and alerting concepts.
