What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Go-based backend services and APIs for scientific and computational workflows.
• Deploy and troubleshoot services within Kubernetes (AWS EKS) environments.
• Implement observability systems using logging, monitoring, and alerting to ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to integrate with cloud-native systems.
• Contribute to the improvement of CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Support and mentor junior engineers to maintain high engineering standards.

Requirements

• Strong production experience building backend systems using Go.
• Proven experience operating Kubernetes (preferably AWS EKS) in production.
• Solid background in designing RESTful APIs and cloud-native architecture.
• Experience with observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.
• Working knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC) and strong Linux fundamentals.
• Working hours must overlap with US Pacific Time (12:00 PM – 5:00 PM PST).
