What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain Golang infrastructure services, primarily as Kubernetes operators.
• Manage availability, performance, monitoring, and capacity planning for large-scale cloud systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver robust foundations for the Confluent cloud platform.
• Utilize Terraform, Datadog, and Prometheus to ensure operational excellence.
• Contribute to the architectural and operational design of high-load big data systems.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United Kingdom
• Extensive experience in cloud infrastructure and cloud networking.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, C++, or other statically typed languages.
• Experience operating large-scale systems and public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Solid understanding of systems operations including Linux, networking, and storage.

Nice to have

• Professional experience with Golang.
• Experience with Apache Kafka.
